![]() Along the way, some died and get replaced, a la The Walking Dead. King’s cast includes a comic book artist named Clay, a diminutive gay man named Tom, and a teenage girl named Alice. A band of survivors ends up traveling together to find out if one of their families is still alive while learning about these new breed of humans and trying to survive. Specifically, anybody who uses their phone at a certain time (or from that time forward) gets reverted back to primordial man. ![]() Here, the end of the world is brought on by a cell phone signal. ![]() ![]() This is definitely King’s zombie book, even if they’re not specifically zombies back from the dead and are more along the line of The Crazies or 28 Days Later style. Jackson movie I’ve never even seen previews for that gets bombed on rotten tomatoes (seriously 11% fresh, yech). I got about 50 pages in before I realized it’s in no way related to that movie, and is actually related to a John Cusack/Samuel L. ![]() Looking at the publication date, I assumed it was the Jennifer Lopez/Vincent D’Onofrio film that I wasn’t overly impressed by. My copy of this book says there’s now a feature film based on it. ![]()
